I’m a flash game developer and a graphic designer. I like to draw stuff and make things look nice. I’m also a big film fan.

Here is a little bit about myself. Having graduated from Durham university in 2005 with a degree in Economics I opted out of the sensible city career path and decided to pursue more creative interests – don’t do it I tell you. I completed a masters in Management specialising in film business at Cass business school, before landing a role in acquisitions and marketing for London based film sales and financing outfit, Salt.

There I achieved goal one in life – to get my name in the credits of a film – ok so it was a bit of a flop – for those interested the title involved bumping off that Irish popstar with the silly name who always wears sunglasses – but at least I helped in getting it made.

Then it was time to move on and ironically my first thought was that the business side of film still didn’t offer the right outlet for my creative sensibilities. My brother,Rob (robdonkin.com) had been making flash games for the past couple of years and suggested I join him. Arty, fun, be my own boss… Done.

I spent a couple of months teaching myself basic coding and getting to grips with Adobe flash before joining forces with Rob for our first collaboration. As a partnership we have settled on the familiar coder/artist (me) relationship which seems to work great. Rob is a few years ahead of me code wise so it makes sense, although I’m still keen to be able to pursue my own projects at some stage. My only regret is not getting involved sooner.

As for the doodling. It’s just something I like to do in my spare time. Not sure where the designs come from or what they say about me… but it’s a great stress reliever.
